IOM: CTSA program has reshaped translational research

The NIH's Clinical and Translational Science Awards program, now operating within the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, has made translational research a focal point for academic researchers and has the potential to catalyze further progress, an Institute of Medicine report found. The IOM recommends that CTSA researchers engage in more collaborations, develop and disseminate innovative research resources, and build on successes.
