Kroger chief touts growth strategy, nearly $100B in sales

Kroger CEO David Dillon told shareholders at their yearly meeting that the company's growth strategy is working, with sales up 7.1% annually, to $96.8 billion. Larger stores will continue to open, shoppers are pleased with a shorter wait at checkout and eliminating coupon doubling in favor of lower prices overall is paying off, Dillon said.
