Native ads aren't automatically better than display ads

Native advertisements still have some of the same problems banner ads are criticized for, writes Adam Kleinberg, CEO of ad agency Traction. He cites the example of a recent native ad for Virgin Mobile on Buzzfeed with the title "20 Things We Can Only Learn from Dads" and notes the airline's logo is still just an image that appears next to unrelated content. "How is this different than a banner ad next to any other piece of compelling content on the web I happen to go to?" Kleinberg writes.
