Offshore revenue-sharing amendment clears House

A measure that would raise the offshore revenue-sharing limit for Gulf Coast states from $500 million annually to $1 billion starting in 2023 was cleared by the House of Representatives. Louisiana is slated to benefit from the bill's passage, said Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-La. "Our state and nation rely on our oil and gas, our strong ports and the economic activity that happens on our coast," Cassidy said.
