Report offers snapshot of public health nurse workforce

Almost 40% of state and local health departments across the U.S. said they lack resources needed to fill vacant nursing positions, according to report released by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. While public health nurses in the survey expressed concerns about job stability, pay and career development, they had high levels of job satisfaction and felt they are contributing in their communities.
