Wis. district could shift from serving morning milk to "nutrition breaks"

The foodservice director in a Wisconsin school district would like to replace a morning milk program for elementary-school students with a "nutrition break" that would be similar to a breakfast program offered at the district's middle school. Director Kerry Johnson recently told school board members that while such a program would be challenging to work into the schools' schedule, it would help ensure students were not hungry during the school day and cost less than milk distribution.
