Yelp reviews frequently lead to purchase decisions, says Nielsen

A majority of Yelp users say they make a purchase decision after reading reviews of a local business on the site, with more than 9 in 10 saying that using Yelp at least occasionally results in a local purchase, according to a survey from Nielsen. Mobile Yelp users showed an even greater likelihood of making a purchase after visiting the site, the study found.
