NTSB cites high rate of faulty evacuation slides

The National Transportation Safety Board places its estimate of how often airplane evacuation slides malfunction during an actual emergency as high as one-third. The NTSB wants the Federal FAA to require airlines to test 10% of all evacuation slides.
