U.K. to question grocery chains over treatment of suppliers

The Office of Fair Trading is investigating whether four big chains are slow to pay their suppliers, require suppliers to pay some marketing costs, or force suppliers to accept contract changes. Competition Minister Gerry Sutcliffe has called for a meeting with Asda, Tesco, J. Sainsbury and Safeway plc/Morrisons officials to address the allegations.
