Workshop offers science teachers new ways to teach science

A group of Loudoun County, Va., middle school science teachers are immersed in a weeklong science "boot camp" run by researchers from the nearby Howard Hughes Medical Institute. The teachers spend their mornings reviewing scientific principles and discussing the latest learning research, then head to the lab to conduct sophisticated experiments that will engage students' interest.
