Lawmaker wants prompt reports on cruise ship incidents

Rep. Christopher Shays, R-Conn., is proposing a bill to require cruise ship owners to report passengers overboard or missing people to the Homeland Security Department within four hours of hearing of the incident. The International Council of Cruise Lines, a cruise industry trade group, said it is reviewing Shays' proposal.
