Execs come out disappointed after meeting with Salazar

Oil and gas executives have failed to secure a guarantee from the federal government to end a deepwater-drilling ban despite discussions with Interior Secretary Ken Salazar. The meeting included officials from several oil majors and the American Petroleum Institute. A source said officials were disappointed by the Interior Department's "lack of serious attention" to the "horrible economic impact" of the moratorium on industry and Gulf Coast communities.
