Panel: Magnolia bark extract is OK to use in gum, mints

Magnolia bark extract seems safe for use in gum and mints, said a panel of U.K. scientists in response to a request from Wrigley Co., which was seeking to use the extract. Wrigley is hoping that the extract, which allegedly helps alleviate stress, can be incorporated in its line of breath fresheners.
