Research hub at Washington State will target zoonotic diseases

A facility being constructed at Washington State University is designed for researchers to investigate ways to curb the transmission of animal diseases to humans. The School for Global Animal Health will house about 100 researchers who will focus on early detection of potential diseases to formulate vaccines and devise measures to control disease spread.
