Passengers on a US Airways flight arriving at Richmond International Airport in Virginia were delayed for hours on Friday after an anonymous caller phoned in an unspecified threat against the aircraft. Upon landing, the plane was met by emergency vehicles and escorted to an inactive runway. Passengers say they were kept on the plane for about 90 minutes with no indication of the cause. Eventually, passengers and crew were bused to the terminal without their checked luggage or carry-on bags, which arrived hours later after additional screening. An RIC spokesman said the delays and precautions were necessary. "With an unidentified threat, you don't know what you're facing," he noted.
