San Diego pedestrian bridge overweight, behind schedule

A pedestrian bridge under construction in San Diego is a full year behind schedule. Weighing in at 7% more than originally planned, engineers have had to recalibrate the cables that will support the structure. The $26.8 million project was slated to be complete in fall 2009 but is now scheduled to be finished in November.
