Services, VMWare are the top focuses for Red Hat

Red Hat hopes to increase channel sales from today's 60% to 70%, is working on building a nonpartner-services business for North America and views VMWare as its primary competitor in the cloud-services space. "When you start thinking about who is defining cloud-based architectures, it's us and them," Red Hat CEO Jim Whitehurst said. "We're the only two companies that have the components to really do cloud."
