Companies say they're getting ready to spend again

Businesses are starting to draw down cash accumulated during the economic slowdown and increase capital spending and acquisitions. Half of executives surveyed by the Association for Financial Professionals said they plan to hold cash steady during the next 12 months; 29% said cash will increase; and 21% expect less cash. Among executives planning a reduction, nearly half said they will use the money for expansion.
