New compounds may address neuropathic pain in diabetes

Researchers at the University of California, Davis, found that a new class of compounds helped block a key enzyme called soluble epoxide hydrolase, inhibiting painful sensations in animal models. The results, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, may help address neuropathic pain associated with diabetes, researchers said.
