Cirrus expands N.D. facility to produce carbon-fiber components

Cirrus Aircraft is expanding its Grand Forks, N.D., facility to accommodate a new 40-ton autoclave that will be used to produce carbon-fiber structural components for the Vision SF50 jet fuselage. Previously, the company outsourced the production of carbon-fiber parts to ACT Aerospace in Gunnison, Utah, but with increased sales of the Cirrus' SF-series aircraft, it makes more sense to produce the pieces in-house.
