Fillers should be used with caution as alternative to rhinoplasty

Using fillers around the nose as an alternative to rhinoplasty may raise the risk for serious complications, including necrosis and blindness, says facial plastic surgeon Steven Dayan. Patients in need of small corrections are likely the best candidates for fillers, which Dayan prefers to thin with lidocaine and inject through a cannula.
