Food designer creates "living" entrees

A design student at Britain's Royal College of Art is showing off three meals that breathe, pulse and wriggle on the plate. Inspired by synthetic lifeforms powered by the heart cells of rats, Minsu Kim says synthetic biology has the potential to elevate haute cuisine to a new level. "What if food was able to play with our cutlery and create hyper-sensations in our mouth?" Kim asked.
