Group aims to heal troops' raw wounds

A Phoenix man whose face was partially shattered when he was serving in Afghanistan will undergo reconstructive surgery arranged by Rebuilding America's Warriors, a group that helps wounded troops and veterans obtain and afford reconstructive procedures. Plastic surgeon Salvatore Lettieri is volunteering his time and expertise to perform the operation. "We're going to do some little things like bring the tone back in his lip by using some tendons and better the color by using his gums," Lettieri said.
