Japan approves St. Jude's MRI-compatible pacemaker and lead

St. Jude Medical has received the go-ahead to market its Accent MRI pacemaker and Tendril MRI lead in Japan. The devices, said to be the first such products to be released in that country, are designed to allow patients implanted with the systems to receive whole-body MRI scans safely.
