Rule making must be priority, SEC nominees say

Kara Stein and Michael Piwowar, President Barack Obama's nominees to join the Securities and Exchange Commission, have emphasized the importance of finishing rule writing related to the Dodd-Frank Act and the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act. "I will definitely work with [Mary Jo] White, who sets the rule-making agenda for the SEC, to make sure that priorities are placed on rule making that is mandated under the JOBS Act and the Dodd-Frank Act," Piwowar told the Senate banking committee.
