SEC reportedly scrutinizes ISM over data-release policy

The Securities and Exchange Commission will reportedly examine the Institute for Supply Management's process for releasing manufacturing information, which may have given some investors an advantage of several seconds over the general public. ISM is also taking steps to close the time gap. "We are addressing the apparent delay and are very confident that appropriate controls are now in place," said CEO Thomas Derry.
