New D.C. law to lower drug prices is challenged in federal court

A pharmacy benefit managers group has filed suit to block part of a new District of Columbia law that aims to force down drug prices. The group says the law would require pharmacy benefit managers to divulge proprietary information they use in negotiating drug prices and that would encourage drugmakers to charge higher prices. A similar law in Maine was blocked by a federal court in March.
