Oil bidding in Iraq is the first in more than 3 decades

Iraq will open bids this week to develop six oil fields and two gas deposits. It's the first time the country has started a licensing process in more than three decades. Eight of 10 global nonstate oil producers, including ExxonMobil and Royal Dutch Shell, will be vying for about $16 billion in contracts.
