Calculate your company's risks in the cloud

Does using cloud-computing databases to store your company's information put that information at risk for a security breach? Cloud-computing applications, while convenient and cheaper than storing information within your company's own infrastructure, are also less secure and could put data at risk without the proper precautions, writes Steve Ranger. He recommends restricting cloud access rights to trained users, tracking sensitive information in the cloud and storing particularly sensitive data only on the company's premises.
