Fast food boosts sales at convenience stores

More convenience stores are investing in fast-food offerings such as pizzas, sandwiches and salads, boosting sales and adding pressure to more traditional dining establishments. Sales at U.S. convenience stores increased 1.5% last year to about $10.4 billion, according to Technomic.
