IMF works on lending instruments for crisis-hit nations

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, said the agency is striving to establish lending instruments to help economies suffering from crises that they did not create. The IMF is considering a precautionary credit line for countries hit by volatility in financial markets or for nations affected by financial contagion.
