Prediabetes program looks at overall health improvement

The YMCA of Delaware's new diabetes prevention program wants people to look beyond the label of prediabetes and focus on improving their overall health through exercise, nutrition education and lifestyle modification. The goal of the program, which is funded by a CDC grant and hopes to enroll 100 people, is to lose 7% of body weight and increase physical activity to 150 minutes a week to prevent the onset of diabetes.
