Sponsors reap traffic gains from Yahoo! World Cup deal

Audi, Yahoo!'s exclusive World Cup sponsor, and Visa, the sponsor of Yahoo!'s fantasy World Cup league, are profiting from a wave of traffic this month. Yahoo! Sports was the online leader for tournament coverage, welcoming 44.5 million unique visitors from June 7 to 20, many of whom came exclusively for the site's soccer content, the company reported.
