SurgiVision gets FDA clearance, plans to go public

SurgiVision said in a regulatory filing that it obtained FDA clearance for ClearPoint system, which allows for less-invasive brain surgeries to be performed in MRI suites of hospitals, and plans to seek CE Mark approval for the device this year. The company also plans to sell 2.5 million shares of its common stock in an initial public offering in order to raise as mush as $30.6 million.
