The government shouldn't focus its work-life efforts on flex- and part-time work arrangements that can be better handled by individual managers, Stephanie Wilchfort writes. She's behind legislation that will help ensure equal pay, affordable child care and paid sick and family leave but says that "given government's reputation for bureaucracy and partisanship, I'm not sure that associating flexible work with is even desirable for the movement."
