Two-factor authentication isn't as effective as many enterprises may think, according to a report from security vendors McAfee and Guardian Analytics. The technology requires scrutiny and updating to be a viable security tool, because bad guys also are using it to design threats. "The collection of the token information is part of the fraud process -- it's integrated into it," said report co-author Dave Marcus of McAfee.
