Johns Hopkins to test automation of safety checklists

Johns Hopkins Medicine will test a new checklist application called Emerge, which will be used on tablet devices. The app works with EHRs to notify physicians of the risk of seven potential harms, including blood clots and central-line associated bloodstream infections.
