Students in some states earn diploma honors for bilingualism

Students who graduate high school proficient in more than one language are being recognized and rewarded in several states, including California, Illinois, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington. Oregon recently tested the use of bilingual seals on diplomas in some schools, and officials expect to expand the program statewide next year.
