Minnesota lawmakers favor value-added assessments

Minnesota lawmakers have mandated the development of value-added assessments in education bills approved in the House and Senate during the regular session. Sen. Steve Kelley, chairman of the Senate Education Committee, says the achievement-tracking approach helps determine how much schools are contributing to students' growth. Minnesota Public Radio (06/30)
