Oral chemo treatment endorsed by researchers

Researchers say the oral medication capecitabine may help people with advanced colon cancer survive just as long and avoid relapses better than traditional drugs taken during chemotherapy treatments. The international team's findings, which appear in today's New England Journal of Medicine, suggest capecitabine as an alternative to intravenously administered fluorouracil and leucovorin.
