Baucus could be linchpin in health care reform

Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., may be the catalyst to reform American health care, according to a profile by Ezra Klein on AlterNet. The Senate has traditionally been the tripping point for proposals, as the body requires 60 votes for passage. Much of the consensus building will come in the Senate Finance Committee, of which Baucus is chairman.
