EPA to propose Maryland Army base as Superfund site

The EPA said last week it will propose Fort Detrick in Frederick, Md., as a Superfund site. The decision would allow the EPA to oversee the Army's cleanup of groundwater tainted by chemicals. Maryland regulators have complained that the Army is moving too slowly to clean up the site.
