Fracture risk linked to B vitamins in elderly

New research of more than 1,000 elderly men and women found those with low vitamin B-12 levels were 60% more likely to sustain a hip fracture over four years, compared with those with normal levels. Researchers found a similar risk for deficiencies in vitamin B-6.
