Mount Sinai patients carry medical info with them

Mount Sinai Medical Center patients now have smart ID cards with a 64K chip that can store the equivalent of 33 pages of encrypted information and can be accessed from anyplace in the hospital. The hospital hopes the ID program will reduce clerical and billing errors and enhance patient safety.
