3 health insurers seek to boost EMR adoption in Western New York

HealthNow New York, Independent Health Association and Univera Healthcare have signed an agreement with HEALTHeLINK, an electronic clinical information exchange, to develop a three-year program aimed at encouraging more than 500 doctors in Western New York to implement electronic medical record systems. The deal calls for HEALTHeLINK to assist health insurers and physicians in choosing which software to use in implementing EMR systems.
