Denny's on hunt for late-night diners

Denny's, facing increased late-night competition from McDonald's, Taco Bell and other quickservice chains, is courting the college crowd by hosting post-show parties for rock bands and introducing menu items concocted by bands such as Good Charlotte and Rascal Flatts. The restaurant chain is running its "Allnighter" program, which provides up-and-coming musicians with $1,000 in gift cards and sends messages via Twitter and MySpace to the 18- to 24-year-old set about the bands' after-parties and new menu items.
