The FAA will have a "substantial" plan in place for NextGen by the end of the summer, Administrator Randy Babbitt promised last week during a town hall meeting with employees. "We need to make it work," he said. "People are not going to continue to buy equipment they can't use." Meanwhile, in testimony before a House appropriations panel, Babbitt promised to cooperate closely with the aviation industry to assure rapid adoption of the new technology.
