CMS proposes a 10% incentive payment for primary care services

The CMS has proposed a 10% incentive payment for primary care services offered by nurse practitioners, doctors, physician assistants and other primary care providers under the 2011 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule. The agency has set an Aug. 24 deadline for comments and will decide on the proposed rule by Nov. 1.
