Defense companies back Pentagon's acquisition reform goals

Major defense companies -- including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Boeing -- say they stand behind the Pentagon's new push to make defense contracts more affordable and to reduce unnecessary spending on weapons and services. The companies applauded the efforts of Pentagon leaders to reach out to the industry to accomplish the new goals, and company leaders expressed a willingness to work with the Pentagon on acquisition reform.
