Even small stimulus could keep economic recovery on track

Approval of a new stimulus package is being complicated by concerns about the federal deficit. But even if just a quarter of stimulus funding requests are approved by Congress, the injection should be enough to keep the economy on the path to recovery, according to Jim Haughey, chief economist of Reed Construction Data. Haughey expects to see a "slow resumption" in construction spending late this year.
